A Media Studies senior thesis

In May 2024, I gathered 37 Vassar students to speed-date each other on camera.

This project was inspired by Cut’s “The Button” and similar short-form YouTube dating shows – with the intention of exploring how common dating-app practices manifest in a live, filmed, and unscripted environment.

The result was an independently-produced video accompanied by a qualitative study of the participants’ experiences and responses to the process.
